  i pertain to a congregation in the orange county.

  from the ages of around 5-16 i went to all the meetings etc etc.

  i am currently 18 years of age, although i am not the ''ideal'' christain boy, i have strong faith in jehova.

  At this point cheeses reaches out and puts a welcoming around around his new friend and showers him with hugs and kisses. So young. And with so much to learn.

  Be wary my son, there are a lot of wolves in sheep's clothing on this site. I could mention names - but by their own wickedness they will become evident.

  Show you a better religion? WELL! It just so happens that I have toyed with the idea of starting my own (endowed as I am with such a spiritual and charismatic nature. Not to mention sound theological and moral values) religion. Presently I am looking for prospective disciples (especially those with two jobs, as tithing will be a major feature of being a devoted Cheeses Witness).

  Let me take you by the hand and guide you into a future where sickness will still prevail, crime will.. (oh best not dwell too long on that subject). Somethings will be better I am sure. But at least you can have the satisfaction of knowing that your tithes are contributing towards the lavish lifestyle of someone who really deserves to be pampered. We will talk about doctrine after the tithing contract has been signed.

  If a person changes their name by deed poll to something more scriptural i.e. Abraham, Joseph, or Peter-ever-faithful-and-humble-slave-of-almighty-jah, would that be a help to get through the great tribulation and enter unscathed into god's glorious kingdom?

  i don't think i've made any apology for my leanings here towards jws, whilst i don't imagine most here will agree with me, i just think its good sometimes to redress the balance on this forum in a small way to let people who might be reading/lurking/ know that.. despite feeling messed up a bit in my own head about which direction i want/have to take in my own life, and despite many struggles as deep and traumatic as many have experienced here, i still hold jws as a group in the highest esteem.

  i can remember what it was like to try and do the "right" thing and follow the way of the truth, it was bloody hard, and i fell down many times.

  i always used to try and pick myself up dust myself down and start over again, sometimes with success for longer periods than others.

  i can live with it.. if i had to answer my own question, i'd have to say it broken down into a number of points.

  a. i like to see what the latest stuff is happening on the "apostate" side.. b. i like to watch the politics of this group.

  got my forty homey? summed it up succinctly when he said that the only good in jws was "no good." Amen to that brother.

  The above posts on this page are all forthright with their comments. Scooby, you have been a snivelling jw apologist and sympathiser since day one - the harsh reality is that you have one helluva lost of work to do on your christ-like personality - methinks there would be very little room in the average KH for a homosexual apostate associate. That would simply be extending the loving compassion of your brothers just a bit too far.

  Down here in Oz we have an expression, 'whingeing Pommie bastard'. Sometimes it is stated in a kind-hearted friendly manner. Sometimes not.

  cheeses. Who feels you would be well suited to return to the KH. The dubs and yourself deserve each other.

  Congregation Book Studies in a brothers home-What weirdness did you endure?

  when i was new witness in the late 70's i was assigned to young couples new home.

  we were required to park our shoes inside the back door and proceed in our socks to the front room...fine.

  the other piece to this was the couple hosting study had a big male blood hound dog of some kind.

  You stated that "now the whole congregation gathers at the hall for the book study." Am I to understand you correctly that the JWs no longer meet in small groups for study? What about for field serviceTM?

  I thought the rationale for such a format was that it would be easier for the dubs to operate in smaller groups during the great tribulationTM.

  Another matter that someone may be able to assist with - I have realised that the last lot of mags which I had the displeasure to view, did not have the old subscription section in either of the mags (either that or I didn't notice). So, can the mags still be received through the post?

  cheeses - been out for so long and with so little interest, that all these 'progressive changes' (read further evidence of acute paranoia on behalf of the jws) that they have passed him by.

  You believe in god? That might be a good starting point for an adequately qualified pyschologist with assessment for your 'problem'. Though I feel things jumping on you in bed during the night is of little consequence - happens to a lot of people quite often, even though they most likely welcome it if it is from someone they know.

  Trouble with black helicopters? How? Difficulty in gaining permission to land it in your yard? You don't like the colour?

  In my most learned opinion, your problem rests with the non human creature you spotted in the rear of a car. The description would quite ably fit any number of posters here - remember, most are apostates, and are capable of the most dastardly deeds, including the skill of being able to transforming themselves into something resembling a decent human being. Most times they are as you described. It was more than likely that apostate gumby, or maybe even elsewhere.

  In the meantime, I suggest you quit drinking excessive amounts of alcohol whilst tripping on LSD - it is not a wholsome mix - especially for someone who believes in god.
